Safe homework must be remembered!

Firstly, when working on the road, the site must be isolated or the road must be closed, and clear warning signs must be placed.

Secondly, when operating high-altitude work platforms, it is necessary to fasten safety belts and wear safety helmets.

Thirdly, after the first collision accident occurs, a warning triangle should be placed at a suitable distance to alert the vehicles behind.

At around 9:31 am on August 19th, an accident occurred on the elevated ramp from the outer side of Shanghai's Central Ring Road towards Longdong. A large bus collided with a high-altitude work platform under construction, resulting in 2 deaths and 1 injury.

According to the onboard video of the bus:

At around 9:30 am on the 19th, a vehicle collided with a high-altitude work platform that was carrying out elevated construction work after entering a bend with a speed limit of 40 km/h. Fragments splashed everywhere, and two high-altitude workers flew out of the suspended basket. One of them fell directly from the elevated bridge to the road surface and died on the spot, while another person was tied up with a safety belt and injured while suspended in mid air.

The reporter later learned from relevant departments that:

At around 9:32 am on August 19th, near Longdong Avenue on the outer ring of the Central Expressway, a Shanghai brand bus carrying 24 people collided with an elevated construction vehicle under construction, causing two workers to fall and one of them to die under the elevated bridge.

Another person got on and off the bus to check, but was hit and killed by another Shanghai brand bus behind them. Confirmed by 120, the accident resulted in 2 deaths and 1 injury.

According to a stamped document from the "Shanghai Airport Bus Company Shuttle Support Branch":

The driver of the branch, Xue, was on a driving mission back from People's Square. While passing through the elevated road outside the Central Ring Road towards Longdong Avenue, there was construction work on the elevated road ahead. Prior to this, another bus had collided with the lifting arm of the construction vehicle, and photographic evidence of the accident is currently being taken on site. Unexpectedly, driver Xue neglected to observe and drove too fast, failing to slow down in time, resulting in the vehicle hitting the crane arm of the construction vehicle in the upper right corner.

The onboard video of the rear passenger car shows that the high-altitude work platform under construction is extending its arm to the second floor bridge for operation, which has intruded into normal road traffic. However, the video shows that there are no obvious measures to close the road at the scene, and there are no obvious warning signs placed after the first collision accident.

At present, the accident investigation and follow-up work are still ongoing.
